David Stanley (pictured left) has become European Sales Manager for PBI and will be responsible for generating sales of workholding solutions throughout the continent with specific focus on the unique and specialised workholding solutions that PBI are renown for.
David joined PBI exactly 20 years ago as a Grinder and then progressed through the company to more recently becoming the main technical sales contact for Pratt Burnerd International customers. David is to use his extensive workholding knowledge to assist our existing partners and distributors to increase sales and to add distribution in other territories.
David said “This is an exciting time at 600 UK with new products, such as the Gripfast Combination Power Chuck coming to market, sitting alongside our existing extensive manual, power and special purpose workholding products. With the European market now in a phase of growth, my task is to capitalise on this to provide support to our European distributors and continue to increase our market share.”
Additionally, Joanne Zalesinski has become 600 UK’s primary Educational Sales contact. The education sector has traditionally been a strong area for Colchester and Harrison and Joanne comes on board to consolidate and further expand 600UK’s significant presence in this key sector, supporting the future of British engineering.
Joanne’s background was initially at Pratt Burnerd International, where she started working ten years ago in 2004. Initially Joanne was involved in production planning and manufacturing support roles, but more recently has been working in customer service roles for workholding, lathes and lathe spares.
Her new role is to promote Colchester and Harrison training lathes plus other products and services required, including full Workshop Re-fits, to the education sector and to be the main point of contact with training facilities, schools, further education colleges and universities.
Joanne commented “It’s a real pleasure to be taking on this role to boost 600UK’s educational profile even further. I am looking forward to helping our customers improve and update their existing educational workshop capabilities in particular, through the supply of Colchester and Harrison lathes, which are recognised as being the benchmark educational lathes in the market today which we fully support from our Heckmondwike manufacturing base”
Howard Bamforth, 600 UK Sales Director said “It is great to see that we have two outstanding candidates who have progressed in our UK manufacturing facility in Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire to make an immediate impact on our selling operation. Both David and Joanne have a wealth of experience with Colchester, Harrison and Pratt Burnerd products and are ideally suited to help our customers with their future purchasing decisions.”
“We see the Education sector as both an important sales opportunity for 600UK but also a way to help with the Engineers of the future. We have a unique capability to help training establishment, not only through our quality machines but with the extensive, non-product, support and back up we can offer which include tours of our Manufacturing facility in West Yorkshire.”
