These achievements were reinforced by the successful launch of the new Tornado EL CNC production turning centre range, which is specifically designed for operators to go back to basics and cut metal with little fuss. The Tornado has always enjoyed a strong reputation for high quality, competitively priced production CNC turning machines and the EL model continues this tradition.
Additionally, the Pratt Burnerd Gripfast Combination Power Chuck was also exhibited for the first time at MACH 2014. The Gripfast Combination Power Chuck is a unique innovation, providing CNC lathe customers with a chuck, a collet chuck and a mandrel chuck, all combined in the one unit, which can be switched between operating modes within a matter of seconds.
Aside from the main stand, 600UK ‘s additional stand in the education and training zone, partnered with RK International, was equally a great success. Displaying the world renown Colchester Student manual lathe, 600 UK took enquiries from leading UTC’s, Universities and industry.
Howard Bamforth, 600 UK Sales Director commented “There was a huge buzz about this year’s MACH. Even beforehand, we felt that there was great anticipation leading up to the show and the number of new visitors to our stand didn’t disappoint and our sales team is now busy following up the many hot leads we received directly from the show.”
“We were especially pleased with the reaction to the range of new Colchester Tornado EL CNC Turning Centres and Pratt Burnerd Gripfast Combination Power chucks, totally designed and manufactured in the UK, at our facility in Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire.”
