Griptru chucks often employed in grinding operations, enable operators to re-align the front body of the chuck and, consequently, the workpiece in relation to the spindle nose. This feature enhances accuracy to within 0.005mm. Once aligned, the chuck will grip subsequent workpieces of the same diameter within 0.013mm. For standard operations, Griptru chucks can function as normal chucks by keeping the front body in the central position.
Supplied with an SG iron body, each chuck includes three hardened pinions and one set each of hard outside and hard inside jaws. Additionally, six-jaw chucks are available to minimize distortion in thin-walled components and to evenly distribute the gripping force, resulting in an improved finish.
The Setrite chuck is precision-manufactured for adapter mounting, ensuring unparalleled accuracy and reliability. It boasts a 12μm TlR repeatability on duplicate parts, underscoring its superior consistency.
