The Super Precision chuck, a trusted choice on the world’s most popular manual lathes for many years, excels in high-speed applications. Constructed from high-strength nodular iron, it features hardened and ground jaw strips to ensure extended working life. Through-the-body mounting holes facilitate easy installation, and a comprehensive range of fully machined adaptor plates is available to fit most common spindle noses. Available in sizes rangng from 80mm to 400mm.
This chuck provides you with 30µm T.I.R. accuracy up to 250mm, and 50µm T.I.R. for sizes 315mm and above, using the nominated pinion. With repeatability of 25µm across all sizes and three hardened pinions, you can rely on its consistent precision. Each chuck comes equipped with a set of hard inside jaws and a set of hard outside jaws, ready for any task. These chucks are also available with two-piece American standard tongue and groove jaws.
The Standard Accuracy chuck is our cost-effective alternative to the Super Precision (SP) chuck, specifically designed to enhance the performance of older lathes. These slightly slower-rated chucks are ideal for applications where high speed and ultra-precision are not essential, making them a perfect choice for older machines. To overcome the limitation of the base jaws' restricted movement, the serrations allow the top jaws to shift inward and outward, accommodating any diameter within the chuck's permissible gripping range.
