This chuck is fitted with hardened operating screws and solid reversible hard jaws. Front mounting holes allow for an easy fitting and a wide range of fully machined adaptor plates are available to suit most common spindle noses. These chucks have a unique jaw and jaw-way design adding extra bearing surfaces to increase the chucks life and rigidity. 

The Independent chuck is manufactured from SG iron and is the most economical chuck for turning one-off components and short runs. All screws, bearings and reversible jaws are manufactured from steel.
